We acknowledge the letter from Sally Holland, Children’s Commissioner for Wales dated 10 January 2019 and thank her for her response.

While the letter does outline the range of initiatives and projects running from – or through– the Commissioner’s office, we wish to highlight the letter’s acknowledgement of the lack of a mandatory requirement for young people to be involved in the commissioning processfor services for young people, which is the main thrust of the Petition.

To reiterate the objective of the Petition, we wish to see a mandatory requirement for young people to be engaged in the commissioning processfor services for young people. The letter from the Commissioner serves to corroborate the fact that there is a distinct gap in this area which the Petition seeks to address.

We once again thank the Committee for their continued debate and investigation surrounding our Petition.
